Poly Prep Boards

It's not the food that dulls your cutlery, it's the cutting surface. Our blade-friendly Poly Prep Boards won't dull knife edges like glass or ceramic will. Easy-to-clean polypropylene is stain resistant and dishwasher safe. Large board measures 15" x 12". Medium board measures 13" x 10". Small board measures 12" x 8". Made in America

Not for everyone, but I love them!
These came with my Signature Set that we bought in Fall 2011. Ever since I saw my high school friend demonstrate these knives, I always wanted a set of my own. I went ahead and bought a set and bit the bullet on how much they cost. We got a bunch of fun stuff with our set, including these trays.
At first, I was unimpressed. The raised quality of these tables made me rather uncomfortable because all of my cutting boards didn't have that feature. Then I realized they actually really help!
My husband had me look up whether or not they are dishwasher safe (which they are) and to my surprised, after reading a review, Cutco said that these boards are also part of the "forever guarantee". YEAH!!! I will definitely be keeping that in mind!

Not crazy about the Cutting Board
I am not real happy with the cutting board it is being cut by the knives and is just to scratched up after using only a few times. The knives are extremely sharp which is great but I just don't like the scratches on the cutting board.I think this will eventually dull the knives. I have had my knives since 1961 and just love them . They have been sharpened twice since I have had them and I use at least one every night when making dinner.I went back to my bamboo cutting board.
I use this product for:cutting up vegetables for salads, trimming meat, slicing meat
Response from CUTCO:By KathleenMarketingNovember 22, 2011
CUTCO's cutting boards are designed to absorb the shock of a knife strike. Some scoring of the cutting board is typical as the board does what it was designed to do. Remember, too, our cutting boards are covered under CUTCO's Forever Guarantee.

Wish I bought one at a store instead
I do not like the elevation of this board. Much too high. In addition, half of the rubber "feet" on the corners have fallen out, so it slips around and doesn't lie flat. Would have expected better quality from Cutco.

Very nice, easy to clean. I wish Cutco would sell one that sits flat on the counter though. These stick up too much to leave on the counter.

Large Poly Prep Board
First, I like the fact its surface will not damage my Cutco knives. The raised feet give it just the extra height needed to keep produce off the counter top. The channel around the edge keeps the juices on the board and not on my counter. It washes up perfect in the dishwasher. I have been using this board for three months and am not about to give it up.

The Best Cutting Boards ever!!!
Keep these cutting boards handy for everyday use. They are the best I have ever used, allowing cooking and serving vessels to be slide under the edge for easy transfer of food without making a mess. They have a handy drip catching edge to alleviate juices from running all over the counter while carving/cutting meats, fruits, etc. Clean up is easy and knives stay sharp. You will be thrilled you bought these and will use them often.

As good as I hoped
The raised design of these boards makes cutting easier and more comfortable. Also, the surface protects the knife edges. And they really are easier to clean!

Polypropylene on high
I absolutely love these boards.
I make a ton of fresh soups and when it comes to clean and easy transfer of chopped veggies to a plate until I add them to the soup, the raised board is insurmountably easy.
Also, in regards to returns with Cutco, I had a friend make an order by mistake, and her representative actually covered the shipping and handling for her customers mistake. Hate this did not work out for the Cutco owner below, it really is such a fine company!

KNIFE SAVERS
These cutting boards are meant to help prolong the sharp edges on your CUTCO knives. I purchased them for that exact reason. The surfaces are soft enough not to damage my blades, the boards all fit in my dishwasher and their sizes allow me to store them in a cabinet. They are not decorative items but good cutting boards to use with your high quality knives! You also can't beat the lifetime warranty!

Remember the FOREVE GUARENTEE!
I was reading some of the previous reviews and felt that I was obligated to respond.
For those of you who had a presentation, do you remember the part about the "FOREVER GUARENTEE"? It applies to the cutting board, as well as anything else you purchased from CUTCO.

sending back
The rep for our area came out the other day to sharpen my knives. I already own almost every knife there is ,but I felt obligated to buy something to "help" her out. I decided to purchase a cutting board. I was concerned about the plastic surface being a "breeding ground" for bacteria. My experience with plastic is that it also stains and marks easily.I was assured that this board would be no worse than the wood board I have. I decided to go ahead and purchase one for a different area of the kitchen. I received it today and have decided to send it back ,as I hadn't realised that it sits about 2 inches off the surface. I called customer service and was told that shipping back would be at my cost ,so when I mentioned that it would cost almost as much as the board and if I had known this in the first place I wouldn't have gotten it, I was told, that just this once I would be sent via email, a return label. I think I will stick with "thanks but I have all I need next time my knives are to be sharpened.

poly-prep board
I think your wonderful knives are TOO good!
Our prep board is all chopped, hacked, and gouged up...is there any way to resurface it?
Methinks that (despite THOROUGH washing with anti-microbial dishsoap) it is a haven for bugs/bacteria! Help?

Poly prep boards not so good
I was so very excited when my husband and I purchased the Ultimate set from Cutco. I am a food service director and have my eye on cutco for many years. I have to say I love the knives, but the poly prep boards are the worst cutting boards I have ever used. There have been cut marks in them from the first time of being used, which then makes them stain more easily. I thought for what we had paid, EVERYTHING would have been of the best quality.

cutcoe poly prep board
The board is nice looking (for a cutting board) but after just using it 1 time (with my cutco knives) it is all scratched up!!
would like to send back for a replacement, but do not want to pay the shipping cost AGAIN..
My rep. also indicated that HE would pickup my 12 yr.old Cutco knives and have them sharpened...never heard back from him..

good product
I have to say that although this board has served me well, I still have a few issues with it. First, it stains when foods such as tomatoes are cut on it. Second, it bounces when I chop on it, or if I have to cut a firm food (such as carrots or semi-frozen meats). Lastly, the little non-slip feet come off frequently and get lost under my range or fridge. I put some super glue in the holes and that helps to secure them.

poly prep board
i really like the poly prep cutting board. it looks really good and i can leave it out on my counter at all times. it is true that when i use it, and i use very often every day, it does not hurt my knives. there are only two things that i am not totally satisfied with. the stoppers on the feet stick to the counter if they get wet and when i pick up the board, usually a couple of them stick to the counter. my husband discovered that if you scoot the board slightly before picking it up then they will stay on the board and not on the counter. the other thing is that it bounces if i use a chopper to dice up things. i have to get out a flat board if i want to chop. otherwise i just love it and get so many compliments on how good it looks. nothing stains it and the cut marks don't stand out.

Poly Prep Board
This is a wonderful product! I usually have a large glass cutting board on my counter so that it's handy. I didn't realize that it could be ruining my cutco! So now that i have this, the glass is gone and this cutting board is right there! Easy to pick up due to its raised design, and large enough to cut a large amount of food on! Easy to clean as well!
